The Cheshire Cats is a fundraising organisation….raising money for sick and underprivileged children….we meet weekly on a Wednesday night at The Poulton Vics Sports and Social Club in Wallasey in Wirral…..it is supported by local musicians who turn up each week and jam with each other dispensing quality rock and roll and country…this, together with the volunteers who collect the money at the door from the enthusiastic regulars,makes for a great night enjoyed by everyone….all money raised goes direct to the charity fund….everyone giving their time and experience free of charge……rock and roll lives on!!!

DEREK SMITH…a founder member of The Cheshire Cats who,together with his alter ego Dominic Duval,entertained us so brilliantly.
IAN HUNTER…who always rounded off the night with his brilliant guitar playing…
RICHIE PRESCOTT….a founder member of the organisation…wonderful guitarist and great character…the ultimate “one off”….sadly missed by us all.
ARNIE NEALE….another dependable musician who never missed a night…a lovely gentle man….he donated his equipment to the organisation when he passed away….we miss him.
CHRIS ELLIOT…the quiet man who turned up every week and played a great bass….a great musician who is missed by all.
JACK “THE SAX” CURTIS…..always good fun and his raw vocals and sax solos will never be forgotten.
FRED BOOTH…...Our valued “roadie” who stayed back every week and helped put the gear away…a quiet unassuming man who will be sadly missed…..a pleasure to have known him

why can’t musicians no longer get up and play in a jam session as it used to be when cheshirecats were started.
we have musicians who turn up every week on a regular basis…they have to be considered first …fitting people in when they feel like coming along is not an option….musicians who are prepared to form a band are welcome to have a guest spot…the point of the organisation is to raise money for kids charities which can only be achieved with loyal regular support.
